01 / About
I'm 19, working full time as a software engineer at Encorp and in my first year studying Computer and Software Engineering at the Technical University of Sofia. It's a lot to balance, but I believe it's better to get experience early.
I started in the 5th grade at Telerik Kids Academy — I learnt the basics of game development by creating browser games in the HTML canvas with JavaScript, I loved playing video games, so naturally I loved creating them as well. That got me interested enough to go to SPGE John Atanasov, a specialist high school with a focus on computer science, where I picked up the basics of C++ and Java.
During high school I worked as a personal fitness trainer, mainly with office workers who had never really exercised before. The focus was making training approachable and pain-free for people who thought it was supposed to hurt.
At the same time I also organised a small side hustle — coordinating groups of friends for one-off jobs like moving offices or cleaning out spaces. I found the work, managed the crew, handled the logistics, and took a finder's fee. Nothing complicated, but it was fully self-run.
Whatever I spend time on, I want to actually be good at it. I don't see much point in doing something if you are not striving to be the best. For me, that applies to coding, training, etc. I've been training since I was 12, kickboxed through high school. I also go out, sing, travel to random cities, hike mountains, go off-roading and play chess. I'm always overdressed.
